History

International Translation and Informatics (ITI) Ltd. was set up in 1992. Initially, the company concentrated on software development. Three years later the first localization project was started. After a few years, ITI Ltd. developed into one of the leaders in the Russian market, offering world-class services in the following areas:

  • Desktop Publishing
  • Software Development

Here is our history in brief:

1992

The company was founded.
1995 We started the first localization project.
1998 The first version of the ITI Checker QA-utility was developed.
1999 We started the development of the multiQA.com portal for online storage and processing of glossaries.
2005 The morphosyntactic engine was added to the multiQA.com portal (for English and Russian). Commercial operation of QA-reports was launched.
2007 The morphosyntactic engine was altered for multilingual maintenance. Full and partial maintenance of the following languages was added: Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Norwegian, Polish, Ukrainian, Slovak, Lithuanian, and Chinese (simplified and traditional).
We attended the LISA conference and delivered a presentation about the multi-level QA infrastructure for a localization project.
2008 Our unique time-management system was first implemented.
2009 We attended the Localization World conference.
Also, we participated in the LISA conference, presenting the first public version of multiQA.com portal which had been launched earlier that year.
We attended the TM Europe conference as well. Yes, we do love conferences.
A local branch of the company was opened in the Ukraine.
2010 The alpha version of integration with GoldenDict (a software for terminology processing) was introduced at multiQA.com.
Multilingual glossaries maintenance was added to the multiQA.com portal.
We took part in the Tekom conference with a presentation on solutions used for translation and QA.
2011 We became a Golden Sponsor of the TMS Inspiration Days conference. The company’s pilot projects (TermLive technology complex) were unveiled.
An additional office in Yoshkar-Ola was opened.
2012 API of multiQA.com was publicly implemented.
We attended the Translation Forum Russia-2012 in Kazan and TM-Europe in Warsaw.
Our representatives held a workshop at the Moscow Military University of The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
2013 We organized the simultaneous interpreting at the Oracle Communications Industry Solutions Open Day event arranged by Marketing Options International.
We took part in memoQfest in Budapest and delivered a presentation on terminology management called “Terminology Management as fitness for localization
2014 We accepted the invitation to join the speakers group of the TCworld international conference in Bangalore, India.
We accepted the invitation to the Locleaders forum organized by Welocalize in Dublin, and spoke on our MT experience at the MT panel.
New level achieved: we got the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate and reached the top-27 localization Providers for Russian, as per Translation Rating.
2015 We obtained GALA membership.
We delivered a series of lectures on localization at: 1.Smolensk State University (April), 2. Russian Reporter Summer School (August).
MultiQA technology was acquired by ContentQuo, a technology startup building a fully web-based, 360-degree localization quality management platform for corporate localization teams and their LSPs.
We participated in: 1. Translation Forum Russia, 2. All Moscow Translation Clubs (and presented at the last one), 3. TTT Conference (Ljubljana, Slovenia).
